Overview

If you have just purchased a motorcycle, or have owned one for a while, there is truly no feeling quite like being on your bike with the open road in front of you. That’s why we go the extra mile to help you find the coverage that’s right for you to help you protect it

What is Motorcycle Insurance?

Motorcycle insurance provides financial protection in the event of a motorcycle accident, loss, theft or damage. Motorcycle insurance includes liability coverage in case you are responsible for another person’s injuries or property damage. It works in a similar way to how car insurance works.

However, why is it so important to have?

For the simple reason that motorcycles are much more dangerous to operate than cars, since:

  • They are small and difficult for other motorists to see especially at night.
  • They’re very fast and maneuverable, which makes them even harder to see.
  • They operate on two wheels; a moment of inattention can result in an accident.
  • They are not fitted with protective devices, like seat belts or air bags.

Essentially, there are two levels of cover:

  • Comprehensive – (Third Party Liability and Loss & Damage)
  • Third Party Liability
